Cooking With An Iron Pan

June 21, 2012

An iron pan is an essential tool to have in your kitchen. They are inexpensive, build up a natural non-stick surface over time and will last more than a lifetime with the proper use and care. Cast iron performs well for either slow cooking or high-temperature searing. It efficiently retains heat, which results in uniform cooking, as opposed to some pans that burn in the center and don’t become hot around the edges. Today you can buy iron skillets pre-seasoned or with a coated enamel exterior.

Just like our relationships, an iron pan strengthens and becomes better with every meal you make. Time and love are the perfect ingredients.
